Fall Retreat Nov 20-22, only 99$!!

See You Saturday Night!

Just a reminder. We are leaving Saturday night, at midnight. Please be at the church ready to go by 11PM. I would like everyone to be ready once the bus arrives. We should be arriving home Friday night about 10PM-ish. We will call once we are closer. Please be praying for a great week!

Registration is Closed!

We have officially closed registration for CHIC and we have 28 students attending. Our official leaders are as follows; Justin Menko, Derek Vermeulen, Julianne Cole, Laura Jacquin, and myself. I am looking forward to this time!

Payment- We should have the totals owed to you shortly, but do not worry about making registration deadlines. We have already paid for everyone so no one will be late due to our slower accounting practices. In the next week or two you should receive a total of funds raised and funds owed.

Transportation- The bus transportation fee will be $150 and is due to the church by May 30.

Excursions- Please use the excursion form at the top of the Forms and Information over there--> if you would like to register for any excursions. THe list of excursions is also there for download. Do NOT use the credit card section, please pay the church by check or cash. All excursion forms should be turned in by May 30.

Congratulations!

The silent auction earned $1510! You will receive full credit if you participated AND offered an item to auction. If you were at the auction, or just offered something to auction, you will only receive half credit. The totals for fundraising will be sent out to your homes shortly.

Remember, registration closes May 8th! So if you have any friends you were planning on inviting, GET TO IT!

Fundraising Letter

I wrote an official letter for you to use to help in your fundraising efforts. Download the CHIC 09 Fundraising Letter, print it out and take it with you when you talk with local merchants! The letter is over here---->!

LAST FUNDRAISER!

We are going to have one last large fundraiser this year on April 18th from 7- 9PM. We had great success a few years ago with our talent show, so we will repeat that plan as well as add a small raffle/auction portion for the evening. Please read the following carefully so you are clearly aware of what is expected. (BOTH PAGES)

$10 per adult, children free, (childcare >5)
$1 Raffle ticket

Evening outline
7-7.30 Open doors, childcare settled, view auction items.
7.30-8 Talent show
8-8.15 Intermission/review of raffle items
8.15-8.45 Talent show
8.45-9 Raffles winners announced, Evening concludes

WHAT IS NEEDED:
Parents
- One point person to organize the snacks for the evening.
- Two adults to lead the childcare (must have been through Protection Policy training, or willing to go through it)
- General availability to help on the auction evening.
Students
- Each student must bring one item WORTH auctioning- ex: services from merchants caribou, lowes, kroger, restaurants, or actual items- sports tickets, theater, dinner for two cooked by Saxton’s, sail boat ride, weekend at cabin, etc… All items are due by April 10th!
- Please be prepared by writing a letter explaining who you are and what you are doing to give to various merchants.
- Each student must bring one 2 liter bottle soda, 2 dozen cookies, 2 bags of microwave popcorn
- Each student must plan to participate in some form in the evening- serving, babysitting, or with talents, readings, music, comedy, rock band skills, how to do the best ping pong serve, etc… whatever.

Keep in mind that this is a talent show, so we must have someone on the stage doing something. Make it fun and something you would enjoy attending! I am not at all opposed to you soliciting help from others in the congregation, ex. getting pastor Ken to frestyle rap with you, or Dennis joining you in an interpretive dance, etc…

Babysitting Fundraiser

January 24 is the Chili Cookoff/ Squaredance, 6.15-9PM, at our church and they need a few people to help babysit. Here is who is needed:

2 Students going to CHIC
3 Parents of students going to CHIC

Both students and parents will earn 20 towards the students going to CHIC.
